Additional Support Needs (ASN) Football Themed Classes

Every Child Deserves a Place to Play. Learn. Shine.

Every Child Deserves

a Place to Play. Learn. Shine.

This is their space. This is their time.

Inclusive. Supportive. Soccer Stars Academy™.

What is ASNding Stars?

ASNding Stars is a brand-new class created especially for children with Additional Support Needs (ASN), Special Educational Needs (SEN), or SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

This is not a traditional football group. We use fun and innovative, football-inspired activities to help support sensory play, movement, confidence, and provide social interaction opportunities. All in a calm, pressure-free and flexible group environment.

Each class is shaped around your child’s unique needs or disability, with no expectations to “fit in”.

What Makes Us Different?

Built for Them.
Shaped by You.

“It’s not about football skills – it’s about creating a space where children can play, learn and shine at their own pace.”

What Makes Us Different?

Unlike mainstream football lessons, our weekly sessions are modelled on sports activities for special needs and the abilities players do have.

“It’s not about football skills – it’s about creating a space where children can play, learn, and shine at their own pace.”

A Football Skills Club Inspired by Real Families

Football for special needs kids is built from real experience.
Shaped by love and lived understanding.

ASNding Stars was inspired by the real-life experiences of two incredible young people: Patrick and Cillian.
They’re 6 years old. Autistic. Non-verbal. And like so many children, they’re full of energy, joy, and their own unique way of seeing the world.

Their parents, Mark & Claire have spent years navigating the challenges of finding assisted, understanding spaces for their boys to play, learn and feel safe.

“We drove over an hour and a half just to get to one class that felt right for them. It shouldn’t be that hard for any child to have fun.” – Claire

They helped us create something better. An active club built around the children and with parents in mind.

ASNding Stars was created with their insight and input at every stage – weekly sessions designed around the children, not the other way around.

What can your ASNding Star Expect?

Sensory Floor Tiles

Stimulate feet and hands with texture and colour, promoting sensory touch exploration and grounding.

Sensory Stepping Stones

Help develop balance, coordination and confidence with guided movement at the child’s own pace, similar to our mainstream football classes.

Pop-Up Tunnels

Encourages crawling, exploring, and body awareness while offering a fun space to build confidence.

Bouncy Castle

Provides safe movement and deep pressure input. Great for releasing energy and supporting sensory needs.

Inflatable Mannequins

These help children practice spatial awareness and gentle movement games in a fun, non-intimidating way.

Air Juggler Ball Pit

Captures the attention of young people with floating balls that move gently through streams of air. It encourages focus, visual tracking, cause-and-effect exploration and calm engagement.

ASNding Stars FAQs

We currently offer two sessions: one for ages 2–6 and one for ages 6–12. This allows us to tailor the activities, environment and pacing to suit different developmental needs.

Not quite! While sessions are themed around football, the focus isn’t on learning football skills – it’s on using football equipment and games to support confidence, movement, sensory play and participation in social interaction in a fun, pressure-free way.

Each class includes visual routines, movement games, sensory activities, colour-matching tasks and opportunities for calm time in our breakout area. Every session is flexible and designed around the children attending.

Classes follow a gentle routine that children can grow familiar with over time. There’s a consistent structure, but plans are adaptable based on how each child feels that day.

No diagnosis is required. We understand how long waiting lists can be – if you believe the class could benefit your child, they’re welcome.

That’s absolutely okay! Children are free to dip in and out of playing as they feel comfortable. We never expect full participation, the class is designed around the child.

We’ve created a sensory-friendly breakout area with crash mats, bean bags and space to decompress. Children can use it any time they need to regulate or take a break.

Yes. We aim to create a predictable and comforting environment where children know what to expect. While activities may vary slightly, the overall flow, equipment and faces they see will remain consistent.

Absolutely. Children are welcome to bring anything that helps them feel safe and supported during class.

Yes – parent/carer involvement is encouraged. We want this to be a shared, supportive space where you feel part of the experience too.

Comfortable clothes and trainers are perfect! If your child has any sensory preferences or comfort items, feel free to bring them along.

We’ve designed the environment to be sensory-aware, with controlled volume, calming activities and the option to take breaks. We aim to keep things engaging but never overstimulating.

All bookings are made online through our Class4Kids booking system. You’ll select your child’s age group and sign up in monthly blocks.

We don’t offer one-off or trial sessions, as we understand it can take more than one class for children to settle, get used to the routine and feel confident in a new environment. However, if after your first month you feel it’s not the right fit, you’re free to cancel.

We understand things come up. If you miss a class, just let us know – your child’s space will still be secure, and we’ll always welcome you back the next week.

Yes – we keep class sizes small to ensure each child gets the support they need. We recommend booking early to secure your space.

Our coaches are always happy to chat! If you’re interested, message us via social media or use the contact form on our site, and someone from the Soccer Stars Academy™™ disability coaches team will get back to you.
